Almost every program on this site is open to more people than you'd expect. Here's who counts as eligible, which ID does the job, and the one thing to set up before you shop.

Set up digital verification first
Most providers now verify military status through one of three free services. Setting these up once saves hours later — verification is permanent, and the discount applies automatically when you're logged in at a partner site.

- Free. Used by Norwegian, airlines, hotels, and attractions. The most universally accepted.
- SheerID
- Used by Princess and Holland America.
- GovX
- Used by some attractions and retailers.
